Day 63: Weekly Wrap-Up 10

It was slow this week. Spoke with my boss about ramping it up again.

One cool thing I learned at work:

Exactly what I’m missing in my work: I don’t understand econ deeply enough. My boss and I have set out a plan to get me up to speed on everything I know, which will help me get to know our audience, which ultimately makes me a better marketer (the end goal here).

One cool thing I learned outside of work:

I’m obsessed with learning about Tyler Cowen’s work habits. This wonderful blog post is yet another insight into them.

One example of how I created value at work last week:

Boss and I had great discussions on how I’m going to become a great marketer for MRU. And I’m finally getting our social feed in order.

What project I’m currently working on at my BP:

Once I’m done with our social feed, I’m going to start getting our email straight. It’s a darn mess right now.

What I’m doing to become a better version of myself overall:

Trying to emulate Tyler Cowen.

What Praxis Monday Session did you attend last week?

Amanda Kingsmith taught us work habits to keep us on track while remote.

What was your biggest highlight from the session?

The whole thing was excellent, and it helped me realize how important good habits are for work.

What was your biggest takeaway from that session?

I can work remotely with no problem—if I keep my habits down. I’m already trying to do them in the office.

How do you intend to apply that takeaway to your life?

Doing them in the office.
