Tonight was my first Tridentine Mass since being back. Being back in such a reverent environment was wonderful. The church I went to in Washington was alright, but Saint Cyril’s is home. Every priest is orthodox and reverent, as are (most of) the parishioners.
Today is the 101st anniversary of the miracle of the sun promised by Our Lady of Fatima, so we had a Fatima procession after Mass. We said some prayers, and someone read us the story of the miracle. After, we processed around the church a few times and sang Marian hymns.
I’m so glad I have a parish like this one so close to my home. It is a privilege that that I do not take for granted. I wish every parish could be like mine. I think there’d be a noticeable effect on the Church body.
