Today, I was supposed to go on a short hike to see something called Devil’s Punchbowl. It ended up lasting two hours. It was an easy trail, basically a walk, but still. Plus, we never even found the punchbowl.

I think this could be an apt metaphor for my life. I’m often wandering, thinking I’m looking for something, and then something happens and I end up doing something completely different. The nice thing is that it almost always works out for the best. The hike was still nice, just like my drive up the mountain in Montana was enjoyable, even though things didn’t quite turn out the way I wanted to.

It’s pretty late, so this will be a short one. Looking forward to another day of work tomorrow after another long weekend.
