Tomorrow is the first day of the season at Log Cabin Resort. It is Memorial Day Weekend, and we are fully booked. I get to work housekeeping, and two of my coworkers will be manning the front desk.
Nothing is actually complete. We received almost all of our inventory for the gift shop today; most of the day was spent on that, and it still isn’t done. The movers came today and got a lot of work done, but they have to come back tomorrow morning and finish up before the resort opens at 12. I am getting there at 8, and I’m thinking I’ll have to do a lot of moving, too. There’s still cleaning to do, and a couple of the cabins aren’t finished yet.
And yet, I am still excited. I remain undaunted by the magnitude of the tasks that must be completed in four hours’ time tomorrow. What makes it better is the fact that the coworkers I interact with the most are excellent. They don’t complain, and they work hard. I think we’re going to make a great team.
In other news, all of my teammates for ACMNP are here! I think we’re going to start our services on Sunday. We’ll have one Sunday morning, and one Sunday evening. I think we’re going to make a great team as well.
